Koba, Our Story.
Every Koba product begins with a simple idea: to feel like a hug you can wear.

Before Koba was a clothing brand, it was a question.

While studying in the United States, our founder experienced firsthand how differently Ethiopia was perceived around the world. Many people knew the country only through history, poverty, or headlines. Yet the Ethiopia she knew was something else entirely—creative, ambitious, resilient, and full of untapped potential.

That contrast sparked a question that would eventually become the foundation of Koba.

What if we could create products so thoughtfully made that people felt genuinely cared for—and in that experience, discovered a different story about Ethiopia?

That question became Koba.

We didn’t set out to build just another clothing brand. We set out to build something that could change how people see Ethiopia—one product at a time. If people around the world came to trust products made in Ethiopia—products defined by exceptional quality, thoughtful design, and consistency—they might also begin to see the country differently.

So we started with everyday essentials—the clothes people live in, the pieces they reach for every morning without a second thought. We believe trust isn’t built through grand gestures. It’s earned one product, one customer, and one experience at a time.

Every Koba product carries two responsibilities: to earn the trust of the person who wears it, and to redefine what the world believes is possible from a product made in Ethiopia.

Every product we create is proof of what Ethiopia is capable of.
